Exciting news from the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras (APBA)! They have just opened bidding for a project to supply and install new mooring fenders in the southernmost area of the Juan Carlos I East Pier at the Bay of Algeciras Port. This major investment of 1.25 million euros will enhance the infrastructure to accommodate the latest generation of container ships, including the E and Triple E series, which are already operating in the northern and central areas of the pier.

The APBA is not stopping there. In addition to the mooring fenders project, they have two more upcoming initiatives in the same pier area. These ambitious projects have a total investment of over 19 million euros, co-financed with EU Feder Funds, and include strengthening the pier and dredging to increase the draft.
